I just put together this video based performance sketching notions about penitence, solitary confinement or the SHU (Security Housing Unit) – USA’s 182 years old method to incarcerate humans. I did the performance in October of last year in the room where cattle were electrocuted in a former slaughterhouse from Healsburg, CA. Today the facility named as the Slaughterhousespace has been preserved as a private art space to question humanity.
