CRUDE-OIL

This interactive sound installation places the viewer in the middle of a micro-environment that intends to question ones perception about the consumption of crude oil. The viewer by putting on the headphones, standing near the upside-down manufactured grass, and viewing on real time the public of the gallery projected in a translucent screen, it simulates the sensation of one being underneath the earth or in isolation where one is witnessing a dismal, crude reality.
This installation was exhibited in San Francisco at The LAB gallery and the San Francisco World Affairs Council.

Materials: portable cd player with headphones, sharp-focus vision projector, digital video camera, vellum paper, and rolls of grass.
