MEMORIES: 5 de-constructions

This is a sound installation of 5 construction each of (4′x2′x15′ ft), expressing my personal concern about the indigenous communities from Ecuador affected by the oil industry during 2002. This installation was possible by Ariel Lopez, videographer and activist, who allowed me to use aspects of the interviews and images of a video that he was producing as part of Amazon Watch campaign 2003 – a video that documents several regions of Ecuador contaminated by the oil spills left by the Chevron-Texaco during the 80’s.
