WINDOW project
2004 – 2005
“Window” was a nomadic participatory installation responding to the present state of affairs exhibiting in different houses. Frustrated from the current USA’s Afghanistan and Iraq war, but also knowing the military interventions that this country is responsible for at least the past 30 years, I brought to five houses a set of 200+ black vinyl hand made cut-outs of various human gestures to be installed in their windows. The gestures represented uprising but also the sorrow and the dead that we are witnessing.
